Meet the Author
Mona Elkateb
Mona Elkateb is an Egyptian visual artist and illustrator based in Cairo. She graduated with a BA in Politics and Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London in 2016 and an MSc in Human Rights from the London School of Economics in 2017. Through her practice, Elkateb navigates the intersection of creativity and social justice, and channels her passion for social causes, particularly those related to women’s rights. She has worked with Mauj, Kerning Cultures, The Arts Club – Dubai, and Mindfood Publishing, and showcased her digital artworks and paintings at various galleries in Cairo.
