Olivia Bourrat

Olivia Bourrat is a National French Chief curator and currently serves as Director of the Department of Museums and Heritage at Villa Albertine, the cultural services of the French Embassy in the United States, based in New York. In this federal role, she leads museum and heritage initiatives across the U.S., fostering Franco-American cultural exchange. As part of her career, she worked at the musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac (the Paris museum dedicated to non-Western arts) before joining France Muséums, where she spent nearly seven years, notably as Director of Curation for the Louvre Abu Dhabi project. Upon returning to France, she joined the Ministry of Culture as a senior advisor within the Mission for International Cultural Affairs, where she oversaw more than fifteen heritage and museum collaborations around the world. Olivia has a strong and longstanding connection with Lebanon, a country she deeply admires. In 2019, she was a member of the selection committee for the Beirut Art Fair and curated its series of roundtable discussions, helping to amplify voices from the regional art scene on the international stage.
