Meet the Author
Mona Khazindar
For the past 30 years, Mona Khazindar has curated numerous successful international exhibitions. In 1987 she joined the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris (Arab World Institute), a cultural organization founded by the French government and the 22 countries of the Arab League. Khazindar headed the Institute’s Department of Contemporary Art and Photography – with a focus on modern and contemporary art from the Middle East – until her appointment as the Institute’s Director General in 2011. With her extensive knowledge of the Arab art scene, Khazindar speaks regularly at conferences the world over and has acted an art advisor and consultant to numerous museums and cultural and artistic institutions.
