Meet the Author
Leila Darwish
Leila Darwish is a bioremediation specialist, author of Earth Repair: A Grassroots Guide to Healing Toxic and Damaged Landscapes, and an educator focused on providing regenerative tools for communities facing land and water contamination. Rooted in bioremediation, her work uses plants, fungi, and microorganisms to restore ecological health. She has taught internationally and supported restoration projects in North America, Europe, Lebanon, and Palestine. Leila also works in emergency management, supporting disaster response and recovery. She holds a BSc in Environmental Science and an MSc in Disaster Resilience Leadership.
