Yasmine Chemali

After training in art history and heritage conservation at the École du Louvre, Yasmine Chemali became head of the Fouad Debbas Collection, a private collection of late 19th and early 20th-century photographs. Then she was head of modern and contemporary art collections at Beirut’s Sursock Museum from 2014 to 2020. In 2020, she settled in Mougins to put her know-how and high standards to work organizing exhibitions. With François Cheval as artistic director, in July 2021 she inaugurated the Centre de la photographie, which showcases contemporary photography’s multiple trends through exhibitions, an editorial line and an artists-in-residence program.
