The Cairo Art Book Fair is an annual art book fair in Cairo and a traveling selection of publications appearing in different art book fairs and locations worldwide. By combining these two activities, we hope to leverage discussions about art publishing from the vantage point that Cairo, and similar (Arab/African) cities in the Global South, offers us. Cairo Art Book Fair is a node created through the convergence of art books, zines, publications, publishers, thinkers, editors, artists, cultural workers, and readers. It offers the chance to learn more about and celebrate the diversity of publishing practices present today.
